No. In order to ensure your kitten receives all required vaccinations, is not separated from its mother too early, and can complete its scheduled spay or neuter procedure, kittens remain with us until they are ready to safely go home.

We do our best to accommodate your preferred go-home or delivery date after your kitten has completed veterinary care and surgery.

Once you select and reserve a kitten, your deposit is due within 7 days.

Families interested in a specific color and gender may choose to prepay a deposit. A prepaid deposit is refundable if CottenPuffs is unable to provide the requested kitten.

Once you have selected a specific kitten, the deposit becomes non-refundable unless something happens to that kitten. In that situation, we may offer a refund or replacement.

The remaining balance may be paid early or in smaller increments. Full payment must be received no later than 2 weeks before your kitten's scheduled homecoming.

We accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, cash, and check.

Checks must fully clear before a kitten leaves the cattery. Please contact us personally for payment information or alternative arrangements.

Yes. CottenPuffs kittens do not leave our home intact unless approved breeding rights have been specifically arranged.

Yes. Pickup arrangements can be made directly with us.

My husband and I also personally deliver kittens to their new homes within certain distances. Depending on location, we may meet you halfway or travel farther for a small travel fee.

Your kitten will come home with a toy pack containing a variety of favorite toys used here at the cattery.

Families may choose a pet taxi instead of the toy pack.

Your kitten will also leave with a few days' supply of raw food, health records, registration documentation, microchip information, and 30 days of pet insurance through Trupanion.

We feed a homemade raw diet in our cattery. Information about our feeding approach can be provided to families interested in continuing a raw diet at home.

We also offer a small amount of dry food. However, some kittens may prefer raw food and eat little or no dry food. We can share the dry food varieties we use upon request.

Yes. You are welcome to rename your kitten after bringing them into your family.

Before leaving CottenPuffs, kittens are dewormed and receive their rabies vaccination as age appropriate.

They also receive three FVRCP vaccine sets according to the cattery's veterinary schedule.

Yes. Every kitten is registered with TICA, CFA, or CFF prior to leaving the cattery.

Yes. Visits must be scheduled in advance.

Please understand that the health of our cats and kittens comes first. If a person or animal is sick with an infection or virus, CottenPuffs reserves the right to postpone or decline visits during that time.

Yes. We regularly post photos on social media and also send photos through text or Messenger when we have time to take them.

We love sharing updates, but we ask families to be patient and avoid repeatedly requesting new pictures while we're caring for the cats and kittens.

Yes. Families should bring an appropriate carrier or pet taxi when meeting us for pickup.

The exception is when you have selected a pet taxi in place of the standard go-home toy pack.

Pet Maine Coons begin at $2,500. Polydactyl kittens, silvers, and black smokes are $3,000.

Pricing includes spay or neuter, vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention required through the scheduled go-home date, and registration documentation.

A $500 deposit is due when you select your kitten.

Yes. All CottenPuffs breeding cats are genetically tested for HCM, SMA, and PKDef, conditions known to occur in Maine Coons.

CottenPuffs uses Optimal Selection and MyCatScan for genetic screening.

We are registered with CFA, TICA, and CFF, and kittens are individually registered before leaving the cattery.

We also perform random fecal and respiratory PCR testing to monitor the health of the cattery. If a health issue is identified, we treat it promptly and communicate openly with families.

Families interested in future kittens should complete an application and may also contact us through text or email.

When a new litter is born, CottenPuffs uses approved applications on file to contact potential families and determine whether they would like to proceed with adoption.

CottenPuffs kittens receive 30 days of complimentary pet insurance through Trupanion.

We personally activate this coverage under your name before your kitten leaves our home.

Information about the policy will be included in your go-home packet, and you will receive an email after coverage has been activated.
