How It Began
A little girl's love for cats became something more.
What started as a little girl's love for cats grew into a hobby, and eventually into the small family business now known as CottenPuffs.
CottenPuffs is a family-owned Maine Coon cattery in Wichita, Kansas. We welcomed our first breeding pair in 2021 and celebrated our first litter in 2023.
At CottenPuffs, we are passionate about our animals. Every king, queen, prince, and princess is raised with love and treated as part of our family.
Our main priority is the health and well-being of every animal in our care—from birth until the day they leave with their forever family.

Life at CottenPuffs
Raised in Our Home
They aren't kept in cages. They live with us.
Cages are rarely used at CottenPuffs unless a cat needs to be temporarily isolated for a health reason or for responsible breeding purposes.
Our cats roam throughout our home and also have spaces designed specifically for them, separate from other animals when needed.
Comfortable Year-Round
Two of our enclosed catio spaces include dedicated cat sheds complete with insulation, heating, and air conditioning.
Health Comes First
Thoughtful care from birth to homecoming.
Every CottenPuffs kitten receives extensive care before joining their forever family, while our adult breeding cats undergo genetic screening as part of our responsible breeding program.
2–3 Vet Checks
Every kitten receives 2–3 veterinary checks through our veterinarian before leaving CottenPuffs, depending on the kitten's age and timing of homecoming.
Vaccinated
Kittens leave with their age-appropriate vaccinations completed according to our veterinary schedule.
Spayed or Neutered
Pet kittens leave CottenPuffs already spayed or neutered unless approved breeding rights have been arranged.
Genetic Testing
Our adult breeding cats are genetically tested through Optimal Selection.
Health Guarantee
Kittens include a health guarantee for up to one year against covered genetic health issues.
Registration
Every kitten leaves with registration papers through CFA, TICA, or CFF.
No Declawing
Declawing a CottenPuffs cat is absolutely not allowed. Declawing will void the CottenPuffs health guarantee.
Ready for Home
Every kitten leaves prepared for the next chapter.
We want the transition into a new home to be as comfortable as possible for both the kitten and their new family.

We stay in contact with our families for as long as they would like and welcome questions throughout the lifetime of their CottenPuffs companion.

Homecoming isn't the end of our relationship.
We are always open to questions about your kitten, whether you need help with feeding, health concerns, behavior, recommendations, or simply want to share an update.
